Thank You for Making our 31st Annual PK1 Conference Such a Success!

Hands on Kindergarten math - making 3d shapes with garden hoses and dowels.

We are thrilled to report that our 31st annual conference may have changed names but what didn’t change was the awesome time we all had!  We are so thankful to all of the wonderful presenters and attendees who helped to make the first PK1 (Pre-school, Kindergarten, First Grade) Conference such a special one!

We sang to learn with Jim Gill, and connected mind and body with the fabulous Peggy Campbell-Rush.  Along with our amazing keynote speakers, there were so very many other wonderful presenters who shared their enthusiasm and expertise with us across so many different areas!  From science to social studies, reading and writing to math and art, and of course, Transitional Kindergarten – it was a whirlwind of learning and sharing ideas!

Save the date!  This year’s conference was close to sold out and the hotel was as well.  So, mark the dates on your calendar – Friday, January 17 – Sunday, January 19th, 2014- and stay in touch with us on Facebook.  We’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as you can register.  In the mean time, check out the photos from our Annual Art Exhibit and members will soon be able to catch up on sessions they might have missed with our Conference Handouts.  Not a member?  Join now!

We are now accepting presenter applications for our 2014 PK1 Conference.  If you are interested in presenting on Saturday or Sunday, January 18th and 19th, please submit the Call for Proposals below.

Please feel free to copy the form for anyone you know that you feel would like to be considered.  We are always interested in new faces and ideas!  We are particularly interested in areas related to PreKindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten.  Please return the Call for Proposals by April 20th.
